FullTilt Poker and Fertitta Interactive Partner for Internet Poker Site

Word of a new partnership between FullTilt Poker and Fertitta Interactive has come to light recently as the two companies announced their intentions to jointly operate an Internet poker website once they gain federal approval.  FullTilt Poker is a popular online poker website, and Fertitta Interactive’s co-owners are also the founders of Station Casinos.

Tom Breitling, one of the co-owners of Fertitta Ineractive, has indicated that their agreement only relates to federal legislation, and that the partnership only supports federal legislation, and is not backing Assembly Bill 258 which the Nevada Legislature is currently debating, and only affects the state legalization of vegas online poker.  Another very popular online poker website, and one of FullTilt Poker’s competitors, Pokerstars, is strongly backing Nevada bill.

Breitling indicated that he and his partners feel that federal law pertaining to online poker is the way to proceed, and that legislation on a federal level would be very good for Nevada.

The partnership agreement between FullTilt Poker and Fertitta Interactive is most likely going to be officially announced on Thursday, and is contingent of federal legislation passing which would regulate online poker, according to Breitling.

Both FullTilt and Fertitta Interactive intend to work together toward the passing of federal legislation, and have indicated that there will not be a connection with Station Casinos if the project were to move forward.  The Fertitta brothers also hold majority ownership in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, leaving many wondering if that could become a part of cross brand marketing with the online poker project.

Last week, a similar partnership was announced between Wynn Resorts and PokerStars, also hinged on the passage of federal legislation.
